P-Dub Racing is proud to announce the release of their new range of Xpert Racing slipper and diff sanding tools. The tool holds the slipper pad or the diff ring, allowing sanding on a flat surface. The slipper pad tool is available for the Associated / Durango / Schumacher and any other car that uses the B4 sized slipper pad, also available for the AVID Triad slipper pads. The diff ring tool is available for the Associated B4 / B44, Durango 210 and Schumacher Cougar SV / K1.

New JConcepts RC8.2 Silencer Body

A brand-new, ground up design, the Silencer, has new elements created for the highest speed circuits. A narrowed, Finnisher stance cockpit allows more fuel tank access a smoother high-speed transition and increased flow around the engine heat-sink. A deep recess around the heat-sink area with dual channeling out the rear provides air escape along with rear-end stability. The Silencer side-pods have a clipped rear-end, narrowing the rear by angling just in front of the rear tires. The extended runner features are placed on the rear-end of the body enhancing the force placed on the rear pods during high-speed acceleration.

This past weekend, HobbyTown USA Hobbyplex in Omaha, NE hosted the first round of the RC Pro Series North Division. With a good number of entries to start the series, Team Associated's Nick Gibson qualified his Team Associated RC8.2 in the number 2 spot behind Jared Tebo. Settling in to second place and overcoming adversity with a bent servo horn, Nick was able to solidify a gap over third place Associated teammate Chad Parks.  Read more...

Keven Hébert Signs Contract Extension

Team Associated and Reedy are very happy to announce that Keven Hébert has signed a multi-year contract extension and will continue to race Team Associated's TC6.1 Worlds, 12R5.2, and 10R5.1. Keven will now be using Reedy Sonic Mach 2 motors in all his vehicles and will continue using Reedy LiPo batteries and LRP Flow Works Team ESCs. Reedy department manager Rick Hohwart was happy to hear the news of the extension, saying, "Keven is one of the fastest drivers in the world and his input is highly valuable when it comes to developing new products. Not only is a he a great racer, but he is always willing to help fellow racers with questions and feedback regarding setups, gearing, etc."  Read more...

The Psycho Nitro Blast has become the largest spectacle for RC racing in the southeast United States. Taking place in a rodeo arena, the event collected over 608 combined entries of nitro and electric racers. A near, round-the-clock schedule utilizing 10-minute qualifiers made the event a true test of man and machine. With a grueling track and schedule, the attrition rate wears on the cars and people. Associated's Cactus Classic Report

For the 27th year in a row, the Pro-Line Cactus Classic has proven to be one of the most popular and longest-running RC electric off-road races in the world. Hobbytown/SRS in Scottsdale, Arizona hosted entrants from all over the planet, with over 480 total entries racing in the perfect March weather. Over the years the surface has progressed from a watered, slightly fluffy surface into the beginnings of "blue groove" racing. With an array of chemical additions since then, the 2013 version took on a whole new level with the organizers adding over 400 lbs of sugar to the track throughout the week of racing. Not only did this create a hard, abrasive surface, it also cut down on track maintenance while adding consistency from the first heat to the last. Read more...
