Telford Model Car Club is holding a two day event at this year’s Weston Park Model Air Show (three day event starting on Friday) which has been organized by Wrekin Model Club! The dates are Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th June with 2wd, 4wd and SC being run across both days. Entries are £10 per class per day, £5 for an additional class. Camping is £20 per pitch. The 2013 Dirt Invert is brought to you by JConcepts and hosted by the One Hobbies off-road track in Peoria, Arizona. The main event format is unique and offers something different for the racers. Triple mains will be used for the A-main drivers and single extended mains with bump-ups will be used for all other mains. The Invert, something developed by Brian Kinwald and the JConcepts team, will challenge racers by changing the starting order based on the finishing order in the previous main. Read more...
Thunder R/C in Nashville Tennessee held their Winter Champs race last weekend, April 5-7 (!) and X Factory Team drivers and Family members took home most of the coveted hardware. X Factory trophies included the mod buggy A main and well as the B and C mains, and the stock buggy A. X Factory also won the 2WD short course A. Main day started out on a high note as Family member Damon Crawford TQed stock buggy and took a wire-to-wire win, finishing just under a lap ahead of second place. Two races later Gavin Glasgow, who had qualified third in the C main, finished lap one in second, passed into first on lap two, and never looked back, taking a 6-second win. Read more...
This past weekend kicked off the 2013 Tekin Showdown race at TQ Speedway and Hobbies in Boise,ID. TQ hast hosted this event from it's inception and provides a great facility for people from all over the Northwest to converge and enjoy some tight racing. With over 150+ entries this would be the largest Tekin Showdown to date! In 4wd Buggy Nick Buechler would qualify 4th in the A main followed by Ty Campbell (6th). Read more...
The Top Notch Series has been a great series for Tekno RC to be a part of. Each stop has been challenging in its own way with racers from all over the Southwest. The series finale was more competitive than ever with all the top drivers coming out to make up lost points. With their SCT410's dialed in, Tekno RC's Chad Panek and Nick Blais stepped up to the plate and came together for a first and third place finish in the PRO4 SC event. This would complete Tekno RC's sweep of the series podium with Chris Blais, Chad Panek, and Nick Blais in the top 3 spots. Read more...
This past weekend was filled with numerous races across the country and we have been flooded with amazing results from the Tekno SCT410. Here in SoCal there were some big series races that we were happy to be a part of. Coming in 1st place at the WCRC Supercross series was Rudy Rico. This was an awesome finish for him representing Tekno RC at this series. Over at OCRC, JD Mora took the win in their weekly club race with his SCT410. Read more...
