X Factory driver Vinny Pedersoli has swept 13.5 short course at the Southwest Indoor Points Challenge held at Tucson’s great Competition Hobbies track, driving his SCX – 60CF to the win in all six events. Most of the quick drivers in Arizona attended the six-race series held over the past two months and Pedersoli TQed five of the races. Pedersoli had fastest lap and race time in every race, but in the final event, held Sunday May 19, Vinny re-set his fastest lap and fastest race time, turning a 20.7 to better his previous best of 21.1 en route to lowering his best qualifying time by a full 10 seconds. Austin Blair wins 3 at Silver Dollar Challenge

AKA team driver Austin Blair had a stellar performance at the Silver Dollar Offroad Challenge at Silver Dollar Raceway in Chico, CA. Blair took home a trio of wins packed with a couple of TQ's. After some good battles in 4wd SC, Blair was able to take the win on a set of Gridirons. One set got him through the weekend with "plenty of use left." After starting first on the grid in E-Buggy, Austin battled with A-Main Hobbies teammate Curtis Door. The 2013 ROAR nationals warm up was held at Gulf Coast RC Raceway in Porter, Texas. The weekend event included the electric buggy class which provided some extra run time on the track and another opportunity for some close racing on the very high bite circuit. This allowed the Tekin Team drivers to put the power of their systems to the ground and run some really fast laps. After many months of hard work behind the scenes full planning has now been granted and so the much anticipated and 1st of its kind in the UK a Permanent indoor dirt track for 1/8th Nitro and 1/10th Electric will be opening in June. The team behind Storm-Valley Raceway now has occupancy of the warehouse and building work commences next week, lots of changes to the inside of the building with new toilet facilities and a new shop for Rc-bits and the important piece the main arena for the dirt track all to be built.  Read more...
