KM Racing joins Euro Nitro Series

With final preparations well underway for the first race of the Euro Nitro Series, the organisers of the exciting new championship for onroad nitro racers today announced that reigning 1:10 200mm World Champion manufacturer KM Racing will join the series coming on board as a Primary sponsor of the two race ‘Pilot Series’. Set to shortly release its first 1:8 Onroad contender, the K8, which is currently under going final development testing, KM Racing join Xray, Shepherd Micro Racing and Novarossi as the key sponsors of the inaugural season of the ENS. All 747 Podium at British 200mm Nationals

For the 3rd round of the British 200mm Championship we visited the excellent Halifax circuit in West Yorkshire. The venue has recently undergone big improvements with a new raised pit lane and fantastic covered pits, in preparation for the upcoming 1/8th European Championships.Saturdays practice started off with many drivers suffering with rear stability on their cars. The traction gradually improved throughout the day and after trying many different set up’s, all Serpent drivers were very happy with the performance of their 747. It was Mark Green setting the pace getting down to 16.2 lap times, Joe Kerry very close behind with his 747 on 16.3 laps. Read more...

Serpents wins 220GT at Halifax Rd3

Round 3 of the BRCA 1/10th I/C National Championship was greeted with facility improvements at Halifax with a high level pit lane in use for the first time and the construction of the new covered pitting area well under way in readiness for the 1/8th Euros that will be held here in July. The roof wasn’t needed though as the whole week end was hot and sunny. Drivers in the 220GT class were largely tyre testing during the Saturday practice day, although Ben Lungley was experimenting with his gearbox settings. Cody King Wins JBRL Round 2

JBRL Nitro round 2 is complete, and it was a HOT hard fought win in the Buggy class, and a little easier cruise in the Truggy class for Cody. These were good wins for Cody as he maintains the points lead in both classes and retains the #1 number plates. Temps exceeding 100f made the effort just a little more difficult unless you pitted in a motor home with AC. Lots of water and wet towels were the order of the day. Read more...

Neo Race 2013 – Entry Opens 17 May

Entry for this year’s Neo Race (22-26 August) opens in a few days time – 17 May. The Official website is now online, full of information and details on the ‘2013 Indoor Worlds‘ – 2013 sees several changes to the event, not least the date change to the summer, but also a small 1/8 electric buggy class limited to 30 drivers – the main class remains nitro buggy with a maximum limit of 250 drivers. Rob Lloyd wins Shrewsbury Summer Rd1

The first round of the East Shrewsbury Summer Series took place this past weekend at their true off-road style grass track! Rob Lloyd claimed overall victory ahead of Matt Slaney and Matt Box who finished second and third. The B final was won by Juliet Exall ahead of Tim Slaney and Neil Lyons.
