The Oswestry round of the 2WD Mid-West BRCA regional series took place this past Sunday on their permanent outdoor grass / asto track. With around 80 drivers in attendance it was Tom Yardy who claimed overall victory with Mat Dodd in second and Tony Bishop completing the podium. Photos from the event can be found below. Read more...
Telford Model Car Club are holding a meetings on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th June at the Weston Park International Model Air Show. 2wd, 4wd and short course will be run on both days at £10 per day, this get yourself and one other into the show with over night camping also available. AKA team driver Austin Blair had a stellar performance at the Silver Dollar Offroad Challenge at Silver Dollar Raceway in Chico, CA. Blair took home a trio of wins packed with a couple of TQ's. After some good battles in 4wd SC, Blair was able to take the win on a set of Gridirons. One set got him through the weekend with "plenty of use left." After starting first on the grid in E-Buggy, Austin battled with A-Main Hobbies teammate Curtis Door. Halfway through the race Blair was able to pull away on his Soft Impacts and take the win! A great weekend for racing during the Chaos on the Coast point series put on by the Space Coast R/C Raceway. Jason Ruona, Paul Wynn along with a great group of JConcepts drivers were out to support the monthly event held at the Cocoa Beach, Florida facility. 2wd modified was hotly contested all day with JConcepts driver Daimon Borkowicz taking the round 1 TQ with Paul Wynn in 2nd. For round 2 the track speed picked up and Paul Wynn was able to stay consistent throughout the 5 minute qualifier resetting the TQ by a slight amount over Daimon. Read more...
Marc Rheinard has claimed his first ETS victory for 12-months, the German taking his third consecutive Apeldoorn win which is where the 3-time former World Champion last stood on the top step of the podium. Dominating the second leg of the A-Main ahead of team-mate Viktor Wilck, who didn’t mount the much anticipated challenge, the win maintains Tamiya’s 100% winning record at the Dutch track, which has now hosted the race 4-times. Behind the Tamiya 1-2, Team Yokomo’s Ronald Volker completed the Top 3 with the defending champion and Wilck now set to battle it out for what could be a crucial second place in terms of the championship standings with two rounds still remaining.
The UK’s 1st Permanent indoor dirt track open there doors with a 2 day race meeting on 22-23rd June 2013, Booking in will open on the 27th May @ 7pm and will stay open for 7 days, full instructions on how to enter are on their website, entries are limited to 104 nitro buggy drivers with entries being selected on a invitational basis.
