World famous Italian engine manufacturer Novarossi are to support the inaugural Euro Nitro Series, the reigning multiple World Champions joining Xray and Shepherd Micro Racing as a Primary sponsor of the exciting new nitro onroad series. The second round of the 1/10th Greek Nationals took place this past weekend at the beautiful track of Montelodromio in Patras. A total of 20 drivers attended the event which was blessed with beautiful sunny weather. Serpent team driver John Sotiropoulos arrived at the track on Sunday leaving him with little time to practice with his Serpent 747. That being said he showed a strong pace and his car was very fast allowing him to claim pole after the second qualifying round. John kept his lead for the duration of the 45 minute final finishing one lap ahead of second place. Congratulations! Read more...
Shepherd Micro Racing is the latest company to get behind the inaugural Euro Nitro Series, the German chassis manufacturer signing up to become a primary sponsor of the ‘Pilot Series’ and committing to field an international driver line-up at both races. With their headquarters located just 15km from the Hockenhiemring, which will host the first ever ENS event in one months time, it was Shepherd’s annual European Nitro Challenge which lead to the creation of the Euro Nitro Series. Their product allows you to conveniently use twin fans connected to a single connector. The 30mm x 10mm fan features dual ball bearings and is set in a sturdy casing with such RPM’s as 18000 achieved at 8.4V. Schumacher's Chris Grainger has TQ'ed and won the final warm up race before the BRCA National season gets under-way at Cotswolds next weekend. Piloting the hugely innovative and all new Mi5 in just its second race in production format, Chris took TQ ahead of Elliot Harper and Stefan Chodzynski. Chris showed the Mi5 is just getting better and better, in a field which contained most of the top runners with the exception of Andy Moore, Chris' car looked dialled around the Cotswolds circuit. All the testing for the top teams has now finished before next weekend’s first big race, and with a full entry of 130 drivers it should be a great start to the season.
Team Serpent has had a great result this weekend at the third round of the Singapore RCMC National Series. We understand that there were four 977’s in the A main. It was Richard Ling who TQ’d and won the event with Tay Wuikiat in third, Nicholas Lee in 5th and Kevin Wong in 6th.
