This year’s BRCA 1:10 electric touring car series got underway over the weekend with round one, at the popular Cotswold track in Gloucestershire. The Associated on-road team had a nearly full complement of drivers, including Olly Jefferies, who was commencing the defence of his national title. Missing was Shane Walker who is recovering from ill health, get well soon Shane. A new format for this year’s season sees the re-introduction of the ultra-fast modified super touring class. Moving up to this class for the first time was Zak Smith, and along with Olly and Alan Bickerstaff, were on the pace form the start. In 13.5 stock, Ben Putt was representing the team along with Chris Gunter and Judy Walker, all three drivers showing well in the early rounds of qualifying.  Read more...

The 16th edition of the LRP Touring Car Masters was an absolutely great event. LRP was extremely successful – Victory in all classes! LRP’s TCM 2013 had everything you can expect from a high-class R/C event – and a little more! The local club MCSS Althengstett organised a perfect race weekend that made a lasting impression on the drivers. John Sotiropoulos wins Greek Nat Rd2

The second round of the 1/10th Greek Nationals took place this past weekend at the beautiful track of Montelodromio in Patras. A total of 20 drivers attended the event which was blessed with beautiful sunny weather. Serpent team driver John Sotiropoulos arrived at the track on Sunday leaving him with little time to practice with his Serpent 747. That being said he showed a strong pace and his car was very fast allowing him to claim pole after the second qualifying round. John kept his lead for the duration of the 45 minute final finishing one lap ahead of second place. Congratulations!  Read more...

Shepherd Micro Racing is the latest company to get behind the inaugural Euro Nitro Series, the German chassis manufacturer signing up to become a primary sponsor of the ‘Pilot Series’ and committing to field an international driver line-up at both races.
