“We’re back from Spain at the first HPI 12-hour Baja Endurance Challenge Finals, and we’ve got a quick report from the race! After 12 solid hours of running with only 2 unscheduled pit stops, it was Team Hungary that took the overall win in the inaugural Baja Endurance Challenge Finals! Hungary stayed near the top of the field throughout the race, never out of the top 3 and always battling for position. Team Wilcar from Spain led the first several hours with Team Finland hot on their trail, but problems for both teams let Hungary make up laps and gain the lead around the 5-hour mark. Finland fought back after slipping down the order, eventually battling with Team Wilcar for second place on the same lap for nearly an hour right at the end of the race! With Hungary many laps ahead, Team Wilcar and Hungary traded places until Team Wilcar had to make an unscheduled stop and slipped a couple of laps behind.” Read More… [Source - hpi-europe.com]
