“Round 3 of the Turkish Nationals was held at the technical Hezarfen track in Istanbul. The track was renovated especially for the Nationals . Because of the new fresh asphalt, both grip and tyre wear were very high. It was windy all day Saturday and this made it very difficult to drive. The qualifying heats on Saturday showed that the NT1 cars were in top position.
