CML Carpet Masters – Round 1
“Craig Drescher took his Team Associated TC5 FT to victory in the first round of the CML Carpet Masters for the 07/08 season. Craig took the pole position by just 3/4 of second from new team mate Andrew Robson. The Yokomo of Ian Whittingham was only a further 1/4 of a second further back in 3rd. A fantastic effort from junior Yokomo racer Ryan Edwards saw him claim 4th just 2.5 secs away from the overall TQ of Craig Drescher.
In the 27t class Nick turner took the overall TQ a comfortable 4 secs in front of Alan Harrington. In the finals Craig took the first leg with a measured drive after the pursuing pack ran into a few problems and let him get away. Ian brought his Yokomo home 2nd with Andrew 3rd.
