Last weekend saw Oscar Cabezas take home the first place trophy, winning the Spanish 1:8 national championships. A huge turn out (90 drivers) at Vigo track meant tough competition for Oscar, however the 20-year-old Serpent driver stayed consistent through the event, taking home the win for Team Serpent! Oscar, the defending champion used his Mega powered Serpent 960 to obtain his second win of the season! However things didn’t all go to plan for this young driver, on the qualifying Friday morning, Oscar had radio interference at the end of the straight, resulting in a very nasty crash forcing him to take an early retirement.
