Daniel Ornelas Elizondo takes Mexican Champ

During the 4th round of the Mexican Nationals (SNOR), held in Pachuca Mexico September 8-9, FTW Driver Daniel Ornelas Elizondo, racing his Agama A8 USA edition with FTW body, Novarossi 4BTTS Engine, Savox Servos and Beta Tires, got the TQ after 4 rounds of qualifying in both classes (buggy and truggy).

During the truggy final, Daniel spent the race in 2nd just behind Agama Driver Andrew Smolnik, until with only 2 minutes left in the race the clutch bearing stuck, so he finished in 3rd place in the 40 minute A Main. It was then time for the main event, the Buggy A Main. Throughout the race Daniel struggled with Andrew Smolnik for 1st place. At the end Daniel was victorious. “The car handled wonderful, the bodyreally helps a lot with the overall performance of the car.”

With this win and TQ, Daniel has secured the National Championship for 2012. Next round will be held in November 17th in the city of Colima (1.5 hrs from Guadalajara).
