Frost with 966 wins 1/8 BRCA

Last weekend the Halifax Track (venue for the 2013 1/8th ‘A’ EC) hosted Round 7 of the 1/8th British National Championships, Saturday practice was very busy with dry conditions most of the championship contenders posted good times except Tim Wood who was struggling to get his perfect setup.

Sunday morning and the weather was not so kind the track was damp for practice and the first 3 rounds of qualifying. All the best times were achieved in round 4, Kyle Branson took TQ with a fuel stop.

In the Main ‘A’ Final Kyle took an early lead with Mark Green, Andrew North and Jason Frost close behind, during the 30 minute final Kyle run out of tyres, Andrew had a mechanical problem and Mark had an incident with a back marker that damaged his car. Jason caught and passed Kyle with 2 laps to go and went on for his first win of 2012. Well done Jason and Gary (Mechanic-Farther).
