LRP TCM Hat Trick – Ronald Völker Wins Again

LRP’s TCM Hat Trick – Ronald Völker Wins Again

What a fantastic weekend! The 15th anniversary edition of one of the most important indoor touring car events saw a Ronald Völker in top shape and his third title in a row.

The LRP TCM was again a spectacular race weekend. Thrilling races, highly motivated drivers and a very good atmosphere made it a perfect event. Also defending TCM champion Ronald Völker was relaxed but highly concentrated and was focussed on victory from the beginning of practice. Already the first laps of practice showed that Ronald’s “eternal rival” Marc Rheinard wouldn’t be the only competitor in the struggle for the title of this prestigious top-class race. Alexander Hagberg from Sweden also gave an impressing proof of his top shape.

The demanding and extremely fast track layout of the LRP TCM 2011 was appreciated by the drivers. Consequently, it was carried over to this year’s event. The Open Stock class – new in 2011 – attracted many drivers again. Spectators were impressed by the thrilling racing – especially by the high-speed duels in the Modified class.
It’s already a tradition that a round of the LRP-HPI-Challenge – Germany’s biggest race series – is held at the LRP TCM. The competition in the Rookie, Classic, Formula 1 and 17.5T classes was action packed and therefore big fun for everybody.

Time schedule was tight but well organised – 229 drivers had to race 4 rounds of practice and 5 rounds of qualifying. On Friday and Saturday, racing was scheduled until late in the evening.
