Cockerill wins Winter Ireland Race – 2WD&4WD
oOple.com reports – “Tom Cockerill completed the double today at the ‘Winter Race Ireland 2011′ – taking his second victory in as many days as he took the 4WD class in style to go with the 2WD title.
Tom’s CAT SX3 opened up with a win in round one of qualifying – Nathan Ralls of ‘RC Domination’ took the second round with his Tamiya TRF511 and Mark Penney made it three from three by taking the third round with his Associated B44.1.
Qualifying was FTQ however and Tom had held the overall TQ since round one – but improved his time in round 4 as he stormed round to victory.
Tom took the first and second leg of the A for the overall win – Nathan Ralls finished second overall after winning the third leg and Mark Penney took third.”
