“This past weekend TLR/Novarossi driver Anthony Mazzara attended the 10th annual East Coast Race Against Cancer hosted by McCullough’s off-road in Sarver Pennsylvania. With a total of 175 entries from over 6 different states, competition was at a paramount. Anthony ran all three 1/8 scale classes offered at the event. In the 1/8 scale electric class Anthony TQ’d and was able to take the win with his Xcelorin powered 8E 2.0.
In the Pro Nitro Buggy class Anthony qualified 2nd with his Novarossi Plus 4 BTTS powered 8ight 2.0 and was able to take home the win in the 30 minute A-main after a close battle near the end of the race. In the Pro Truggy class Anthony again qualified 2nd, just one second off of TQ and once again was able to take the win with his Novarossi Bonito powered 8T 2.0, completing the sweep of all three classes.
Anthony ran TLR Ultra Digit tires on his buggies, TLR Digits on his truggy and 30% Nitrotane fuel. As this was the 10th year of the event the goal was to raise at least $10,000 to be donated to the American Cancer Society. Anthony raffled off his personal 8B 2.0 race roller, raising over $400 and helping to exceed the goal. The event raised over $11,000 in total. A huge thanks goes out to event coordinator Scott Siegel, track owner Doug McCullough and all of our sponsors without whom this wouldn’t have been possible.”
